Meet with confidence
Most people join Speedies for a genuine connection. A few sensible checks can help you feel safer before, during, and after an online date.
Contact your local emergency services now. Speedies cannot provide emergency help.
Before a date
- Take time to verify that the person is who they say they are.
- Trust your instincts and stop contact if something feels wrong.
- Never send money or share bank, card, password, or identity details.
- Keep conversations on a channel you can block until you feel comfortable.
- If you later meet in person, choose a busy public place and tell someone you trust.
During video dates
- Keep conversations respectful and pay attention to boundaries.
- Do not share anything on camera that you would not want recorded or copied.
- Leave the conversation and report unwanted sexual behaviour, threats, pressure, or scams.
- Do not record or screenshot another person without their clear permission.
Report a user
You can report abuse, harassment, fraud, an underage user, impersonation, human trafficking, or sexual exploitation through our safety report form. Include the event and the person's name if you know them.
We review reports privately and may remove content, suspend or ban a user, preserve evidence, or take other action under our Terms and Conditions.
Law enforcement
Speedies may preserve or disclose relevant account information and cooperate with lawful investigations where legally required or reasonably necessary to protect a person's safety. Read our Privacy Policy for more detail.
Everyone has a part to play
Read and follow our Community Guidelines. If you have a general problem rather than a safety concern, contact support.
